I haven't seen any comments from Joe Alleva - his thoughts and reactions to the fans in Tiger Stadium. Has anyone seen him walking through campus and visiting tailgates? Just wondering. He's been pretty silent for a new guy. Seems he would want to get a good relationship going with the fans.

If you a looking for an AD who is a PR guy in the mold of Dean or Skip- we got the wrong guy- keep in mind we hired a guy whose real experience is a financial guy- he oversaw a scandal at Duke that he totally screwed up-- my prediction is he will not make it 5 years at LSU- even Mark Emmert was highly visible at LSU events

No his hands were tied by his New Boss, President at DUKE..
He look real bad, but a lot of what happened were not his doing.
I have an LSU buddy that stays in close contact with Alleva..
basically Alleva has said:
He knows his talents and overall reason for him being here is to raise cash for LSU athletics..
He loves LSU, "it's more than he expected"

I saw him on campus randomly one day and he was very polite...gave me a "Good Morning, how are you?" Something that I don't normally expect when I'm walking to class.
Obviously he can't be judged solely on that but I must say I was rather impressed.

When the band comes down the Hill tomorrow he will be standing there with the fans. Dude knows he's got the job, and he's enjoying himself. Walk up to him and talk to him. He'll give you a few minutes, and you'll be impressed.

He was at the AU game and was staying at the same hotel as we were and he came down to the bar and had a few drinks with the fans that were there

He works out in the Stadium weight room almost every afternoon if you want to see him.
