if you guys do not win impressively against an unranked Oregon State team, then you guys should drop in the ranks just like UGA did for the last couple of weeks.

Last time I checked, they've gotten their asses handed to them on a silver platter against any formidable opponent in the last few years.
As far as I am concerned, the USC over tOSU win wasn't as "impressive" as the media plays it out to be.

May not have been as impressive as it was mad out to be originally, but I think Ohio State > Georgia Southern and South Carolina.

They were probably going to drop anyway.
Lots of people left the #1 bandwagon when they lost that OL starter. Trouble was people already turned in their preseason ballots by then.

....so you penalize a team for playing their weakest part of their schedule first?? If Oregon St. plays USC close, then how does that play into that philosphy.....no way Oregon State is better than Ohio State...my point???.....these "polls" need to come out later in the year.... JMO

I'm still not sold on Bama. I think they can be a great team or a lousy team. Depends on which shows up...

....I agree....that is why if USC comes back and edges out a 1-2 Oregon State team, then I believe USC should still drop....just like UGA was penalized..... hopefully, USC just loses and then there is no debate
