So I was just browsing best buy's website the other day just to see how much all the ToC Samsung's were, and to my surprise they're not even the new line of TVs out. Samsung seems to be running commercials for this older line of TVs. Their new line called, "CLASS" is supposed to be the best LCDs on the market and compete with pioneer elite models.

I also heard that Mitsubishi is making a new kind of tv called a LASERTV, anyone know anything about them. From what I gather they're just an updated DLP (supposed to be 10" thick and bulky).

My take on TVs:
I currently own a Samsung 4665F, it's been a great tv for me for over a year now, and I really don't see any point of upgrading now. Based on the fact that not every channel is broadcast in HD and even alot of them that are, are not in 1080p, I still consider a TV such as mine to be ahead of the curve.

I would like to hear other opinions.

10 in thick is not bulky. Just means you can't wall mount it.

Here's an article about the lasertv.

All I'm saying is when you see an LCD / Plasma side by side with this new Lasertv (aka new DLP) everyone is gonna want the thinner one.

Because most people are stupid and would rather sacrifice performance for what has the cool factor.

I'm actually going to knock a wall out of my TV cabinet to fit a bigger HDTV flat screen. I think I might be able to fit 52" (that's what she said).

I bought a Phillips 42 inch LCD from Sams. 1080P 120MHZ and 29,000 contrast. I cannot find a better picture. They have a 47 now the same thing for 1498. Thats the best rpice for all the bells and whistles i could find.

Ah...my bad.

Best Buy has three years, no interest for purchases over $999. I saw 40" Samsungs and Sonies in Best Buy yesterday for around $1,000.

I think I should buy.

I just bought a 46" Samsung 1080p, so far I love it. Watching the game last weekend was amazing. I'm going to get a PS 3 around Christmas so I can get the blu ray player.

I have 47" in my cabinet once I remove a little wall. I'll have to get a TV with a speaker configuration that's on the bottom of the screen as opposed to the sides of the screen to maximize my screen size fitting in the cabinet. Anyway, I think I'll go Samsung or Sony with my new TV. I can't wait. I have a 360, and I'll be buying the HDMI cables for that bad boy to hook up to the new TV. It's gonna piss off the wife, but she new what she was getting into when we got married.
