and he seem to be an absolute class act. It is good to see Tigers that are equally talented off the field as they are on. BTW he said he is trying to make it back for Florida and that it isn't a serious injury.

Agree to a point, but I am sure they wanted to use his spot on the traveling roster for someone who might play or a potential redshirt that may need to play.

its not like he has a bum ankle or something, he injured his knee and may have some sctructural damage, he doesnt need to be going on the road and spending the night in a hotel room, if it was up to him he'd probably go anyway.

Miles policy is that injured players don't travel. I don't remember who it was but I definitely remember being surprised last year when an injured player wasn't even on the sideline for an away game. Maybe it was Doucet but I'm not sure

sometimes injured players have travelled though, if their injury wasnt that serious, such as how Doucet travelled to Kentucky last year even though he was injured

plus, I would think that Miles would want one of the leaders of the defense to be there, even if just for support, advice, benchwarming, towelling off keiland's calves, getting water, waving towells with Jai, etc.

I find the quality of character of the players to be very high. On separate nights two years ago after games and signing autographs, Ali Highsmith and Dwayne Bowe walked back to our vehicle with my 9 yr. old son and I talking to my son about pee wee football.

I'd agree that we have class acts that represent the university and state well both on and off the field. I honestly think its the kind of players we bring in here.

I had a friend that did the mentoring of the athletes last year and she worked with a couple of the players (including one who has since been kicked off the team) and she said they were all super polite and well-mannered. She said you could tell either they were great character guys are Miles has instilled in the team "look you fools, be nice to the mentors."

Additionally, it seems our players on the field don't talk excessive trash or act like complete idiots. I think of Miami and oddly Virginia Tech bothers me with how they act on the field at times. Lots of people, most recently App State mentioned how our players would kick your arse and then reach a hand down and help you up a lot of times. That's good stuff.

That got long but I wanted to share that. Today is exciting.
