This sort of thinking seems to parallel a line of thought that, although I never attended a class at LSU, I guess I could buy an LSU class ring from some supplier and try to impress everyone that I went to LSU (though in reality I was there when my Dad was in classes in 1949-50). It is still fake, and basically a lie.
