Because the men don't look nearly as good in those short, silky Umbros.

We just add LSU women's Beach Vollyball- Problem solved

I don't think it has made it into the SEC yet. The reason women's picked it up was because they needed more activity for girl's athletics. Really not a high priority I guess with football being so dominant. I played through college at a Div.II school because there is really no Div.I programs close that I was interested in.

wow, soccer has been pretty big since the mid-80's and it still hasn't hit the SEC?

What is this Soccer you speak of?

Louisiana produced two consecutive Hermann award winners, which is like the Heisman of college soccer. I think LSU would certainly have a competitive team, and I would probably support them. I went to some Baton Rouge Capital games last season, and plan on going to more if I am still in town.

Most people want to immediately knock soccer down as soon as it is brought up. Many if not all kickers and punters learn their techniques through playing the game so lets not hate too hard.

It's because it has the gall to call itself Futbol in other parts of the world. The nerve...

Annnnnnnnnd we care why? If soccrer didn't exist, I'm sure they would still train and practice in the same or similar fashion.

South Carolina had a pretty competitive program for a while

Actually smartass soccer players taught football players how to kick the fricking thing. Previously non talented douche bags strapped on a square block because they had no fricking technique or know how.

LSU has an equestrian team and it is damn good, but it is not a varsity sport. As far as I know Auburn is the only SEC school with varsity equestrian.
About 95 percent of students who participate in equestrian are females and a team costs very little per year - 250 to 300 grand.
Make LSU equestrian a varsity sport and add men's soccer.

No one would buy season tickets to watch soccer.
