Easily in the top 5. I'm glad they recognized it.

It was later discovered that the replay official was not only an Auburn alumnus, but was also a big booster to the program. I guess that’s how he got the job. Nevertheless, this blatant home cooking cost LSU a chance to play for the SEC Championship and possibly a national title.

Replay was not involved in the reversed interference call on Doucet. The back judge threw the flag, the call of pass interference was made, the yardage was stepped off and a first down was signaled. Only then did another official approach the referee. He then took out his flag, waived off the penalty and put the ball back at the original line of scrimmage. It was as bogus as anythig gets, but reply was not involved.

almost as bad as the flag in 2004 that gave Auburn the 10-9 win. The only time that penalty has been called in the history of the NCAA.

Or 2000 Alabama when the refs were ready to hand Bama the game. TG for Jumbotron.

How could Colorado's 5 down win not be included in the worst top 10 calls of all time? That call determined the National Championship.

Because the article is the worst calls of the BCS era. Something the author of this thread failed to mention.

You talking about the leverage call? Yeah that was BS. I actually saw it called last weekend in an NFL game tho.

Only BCS era.

And even in that all but 2 of the top 10 are from 2007 or 2008.

And I guess that really wasn't a call, more of a non-call. I missed the BCS era thing as well. Thanks.

What about the mauling of Brandon Lafell in the endzone by the Auburn DB (forget the name ) that went uncalled. It would have been a touchdown.

I read that. That can't be true. If it was, the head of SEC officiating needs to be dismissed and Slive has some explaining to do.

Did not know that...but can't say that I'm not surprised!
