Does your tricep connect to the back of the shoulder?

I'm having this shoulder pain again and it seems like the worst of the pain starts at the very top of my tricep and runs into the shoulder. I've also recently starting having some pain on the inside of my elbow which tends to make me think it's a tricep problem and not a shoulder problem. I have a $500 deductible. I'd appreciate a free diagnosis.

Sorry, I got nothing. Now if it were a leg injury, I could probably help, given the number of those I've had.

you're right, but that's about the best advice you're gonna get from the OT, so go to a doctor if you want better advice.

I had this problem a few years ago and I just assumed it was from lifting. Now, it's come back but the pain is a little more pronounced so I can actually pinpoint where the majority of the pain is coming from. I had an MRI on my shoulder about 3 years ago and they told me nothing was wrong with my shoulder. Now, same pain, same spot, but it feels like it might be originating in the tricep. But, it's so close to my shoulder, it feels like it's a shoulder injury.

Beaux it sounds like you have Medial epicondylitis (little league elbow)

Maybe it's a tumor.

It sounds like medial epicondylitis (little league elbow) this is where all the tendons, muscles insert on the medial epicondyle (knot on the inside of your elbow)

Do you have full range of motion of your elbow and shoulder?

Does the pain interfere with your activities of daily living? Have you tried pain relievers like advil?

If you're answer to any of these questions is no, then I just saved you a trip to the doctor.

If the answer to both is yes, then you need an exam.

Kind of. If I raise my arm straight up or to the side, no real pain. But, if I turn my hand, palm up, and try to raise the arm, it hurts.

Not really. It just started hurting. There wasn't any one incident I don't think. And yes, my shoulder does pop, but it's done that since highschool. I broke my collarbone twice playing football.

does the popping come from within the shoulder capsule?
