that Baton Rouge as a city can't handle an LSU game this weekend?

As of right now there is no way. After experiencing the taffic just from Baton Rouge residents, I can't even imagine what it would be like on Saturday.

They better handle it. We need another game before Auburn. You Baton Rouge peeps need to quit the whining and get with the damn program. I need my LSU football.

No more whining about Gustav. All I hear is "I don't have power", "The traffic is bad", "My roof is gone". Blah,Blah,Blah. There are more important things to worry about like our QB's getting the necessary reps to compete against Auburn and working out the kinks in the punting game. You people are so selfish. Start thinking about someone else for a change. Like us Tiger fans out of state who need our football.

Yea, I can see the pros and cons of not having a game in BR. Regardless though, we will be playing and I will be there...

Sounds like a good time to me... Especially if you dont have power or cable. I am looking forward to going to the game as opposed to sitting in my house w/ no power or cable.

Assuming BR gets the traffic light situation resolved and a healthy percentage of EBR gets power back, I don't see the risk in having the game if the stadium is ok. I have heard conflicting reports as to stadium damage so it may be a non-issue.

I believe the game can be played this weekend. And that is from the perspective of someone just south of campus as of this morning. Things are improving really quickly. The game will happen.

Not to be a jerk here...but when Katrina hit all I heard was complaints from Baton Rouge residents about New Orleans residents filtering in the city...about congestion and traffic in Baton Rouge..and how it cant be that bad in New Orleans for all these people to have come here..well...if yall are having a tough time up there...there are plenty of houses for sale down here in greater New Orleans for all yall red stick residents to take a look at to get away from it all. How on earth can yall live in a city where their citizens are starting to complain about playing a football game 2 weeks after a cat 2 storm. Man up Baton Rouge and start getting the city fixed for this weekend.

Damn straight. They get a strong breeze down there and start cancelling LSU games. And it's starting to piss me off.

I live on campus and am well aware of power outages and street lights not working around campus ....

If the authorities work hard then a game should be OK. On the other hand, if there is not a drastic improvement by Sat, I will have to vote for a no-game.

With all due respect, I'm glad your vote wont count.
