Just noticed that Russell will be leading the Raiders vs the Broncos on the second game of Monday Night Football.

Green Bay will be playing Minnesota in the first game.

Even though Flynn will not play, barring an injury to Rogers, it's exciting to see two LSU quarterbacks on Monday Night Football.

He's the guy who led us to a NC, don't you remember? He's also the guy that is one injury or a bad game from stealing the starting job from Aaron Rodgers. I mean, it isn't like he is backing up P.Manning or Brady.

Mauck is enrolled in the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. He last played for the Titans but was released when they signed VY.

Nope it was "flat out stupid" to say that Flynn was a good college quarterback, according to the JR apologists. Sure JR was a good college quarterback but he wasn't the only good quarterback on the team as was proven by the National Championship and Flynn's beating out Brohm.

So Flynn becoming a 2nd string QB is greater than JR becoming a starting QB? I know there has been more celebrating on here of Flynn becoming 2nd string QB by Bundy, Roygu, and their clan than JR being 1st pick and starting QB. Am I missing something?????? Predictions of greatness for Flynn and failure for JR.

Saban, Miles and NFL personnel professionals are all wrong and your clan is all right. Flynn is a superior QB to JR? And of course it's based on his mental superiority over JR, not his physical talents. We all saw his great mental capabilities last year, right? Forget that every measurable standard points to JR as the better QB. However, that cannot overcome a lifetime of indoctrination. JR has the physical tools but not the mental tools.

So Flynn was the reason we won the NC last year? That, despite the fact he was on the bench when LSU won the SEC championship, which put them in the NC game. Or when WV and Missouri both lost? Or that he lost to two inferior teams. JR lost to the National Championship team and a top 5 team, both on the road in known hostile environments where LSU has not ever won often.

I support Flynn as an LSU Tiger. I am happy for his success in beating out Brohm for 2nd team QB. The more success former LSU players have in the NFL, the better for LSU's recruiting, which in turn leads to more success for LSU. You would think that every true LSU fan would hope JR becomes a hall of fame QB which can only help LSU. But some things trump LSU loyalty. Some things make one vote against their own self interest. Many of those things are a culmination of hundreds of years of indoctrination. It becomes second nature, a part of one's world view.

Wishing and hoping for the failure of JR seems to be what a certain group on here desire. Despite the professional experts opinions, they predict his failure in the NFL. Experts who were willing to invest $60 million in his potential for success in the NFL. However their free opinion is better than the professionals' multimillion dollar opinion? What did JR ever do to them? Beat out Flynn as the starting QB?

There is a reason for that position. It is something ingrained from early childhood. It started hundreds of years ago. But that is a discussion for another place and time. Its something like the guy claiming Crooms is overrated because he is black as a result of his team losing to La Tech. However no mention of Beamer, Wannstet, and the other coaches whose teams were upset. Its that ingrained idea that Crooms is not capable of being a Division 1 coach. He does not have the mental capabilities. He only got the job because of some type of affirmative action. Thats the only way "they" become qualified to coach.

Just pawns on the chessboard of life. Wake up!
