Guys:

my 2 sons and I have been rooting for LSU for several years. We are so sick snd tired of the mediocrity that is UVA sports, we needed to choose a "big-time" program.

1)We want to come down for the Georgia game but only if it is at night. Any idea what the chances are?

2) Looking at the lower level seats on ticket broker sites, are there any that I must stay away from? I want to experience the band.

3)can ya'll let me know about the game day activities and rituals and their times. Is there a player walk, band, etc. etc.

4) staying in a hotel in Port Allen. Suggestions on easist wat to get to and from game?

5) Any other must see and do's????

Thanks!! Geaux Tigers

It's highly probable that it'll be 2:30 on CBS.

I honestly can't predict the time. I'll have to wait and see our play fo rth enext couple of games. I'm guessing afternoon though, which sucks.
The one ritual I would say you need to experience is the band walking down. Awesome. The rest is just booze and food.

Stay away from about the first 10 or 12 rows on the sidelines. It can be very tough to see over the team's benches and other sideline personnel.

with the new band seating arrangement you can experience them well from anywhere in the stadium...i sat in the south endzone saturday directly across from the band in the north and could hear them better than ever.

the band does go into the stadium about an hour or hour and a half before kickoff (im not sure, im always drinking and im always on the opposite side of the stadium so i never get over there) you do want to see that though (from what i hear).

Wow, is this the result of a 52-7 a*& raping by USC. Lucky you weren't watching during the Dinardo years.

So the first 5 rows are underground? I have to agree that the first 3-4 can be tough to see, but 1-12?

www.lsusports.net has a lot of good information that I think you and your sons can research and find out about parking, stadium seating, pre-game activites and such.

As we were discussing in another thread it doesn't look like there will be a bigtime night game this year due to games getting picked up by TV. There is always a chance ESPN might pick up UGA on the 25th but that is highly unlikely.

Just be sure to get around the P-MAC near Mike VI's cage for the players entrance and band entrance. I would stay true to UVA and wear your colors and tell everyone why you are there and I am sure that you will be treated right by some tailgaters.
