It's time to talk a little Badger football.

I have heard that Camp Randall is THE great underrated football stadium in America.

I have had the good fortune to see The Mighty Badgers play at Folsom Field in Boulder and man, did they bring some rowdy, beer-swilling fans !

Great midwestern people !

We need to get Verge on the phone and schedule Wisconsin !

The Badgers open with Akron this week .

They have a murderers row of Fresno St,Michigan, Ohio State and Penn state coming up in succesive weeks !

In memory of On Wisconsin
who showed such an interest in LSU football, can I get a little love for the Badgers ?!

Anybody who has never been to a game at Camp Randall needs to go so that they can witness 'The 5th Quarter'.

Only other college fanbase that I know of that could probably drink LSU fans under the table.

My wife is from Wisconsin and I have been to Camp Randall before (although it was empty at the time). Definitely some passionate fans.

Beers, Brats, cheese kurds, and polka music. May On Wisconsin have his share of this in heaven.

Camp Randall is...I can't explain it. It is OSU's version of LSU playing at Auburn...we just rarely come out with a win. I had the privilege of watching Wisky last year in the shoe, and all of their fans and the band were loud and rowdy the whole time. Really great people and I would agree that playing there is underrated cuz it is tough.

As a graduate of UW I completely agree. Camp Randall is great, but as I've said before on this board, it doesn't compare to Tiger Stadium. But my four years there were incredible. Its a great school, people and sports. The 5th Quarter is something very unique to UW and any college football fan would enjoy it.

I was there for the Ron Dayne era, two Rose Bowl wins. (And a Final Four in basketball). He might have been the best back I've watched in college.

I highly recommend going there...On Wisconsin.

UW fans are a different breed.
I do believe Badger fans would clearly out drink the Tiger fans from my experience at both places.
Every fan base believes they party more than others, but at Wisconsin it really is true. Nowhere in the SEC have I seen near the amount of alcohol consumed as I do on game days in Madison. (and I have been to Florida,LSU,and Auburn for BIG games)
That being said, Tiger Stadium is louder more consistently and people take their traditions more seriously there. But Camp Randall has a crazy party vibe to it that is unique.
A home and home would be awesome.
I would settle for a bowl game experience.
Two of the best bands in cfb also.

I worked the UW Athletic Dept for a year (had to get back South, too damn cold) but I could't agree more with crazyatthecamp - UW fans/students can drink any fanbase under the table. And their student section might not be as into the game or as loud but they are very creative, funny as hell and outwardly obnoxious as anywhere. Jump around is quite a sight to see. I'd love to have a home and home and get a chance to go back as an LSU fan...

Best Union setup ever as well; they have a back terrace that looks over Lake Mendota where they sell beer...awesome place

I genuinely thank On-Wisconsin for his service to our nation.

That being said, Wisconsin is a terrible place. Milwaukee is where you go to live if you can't afford a place in Chicago.

Don't call me a retard.
Its just my opinion and I feel pretty strong about it.
Wisconsin may not be the best football or basketball or even hockey school.....but drinking it what we do best.
I have seen LSU fans at home for big games and on the road. I like them alot....my kind of folks. Thats why I browse here. They like to party and have fun. I have been to NOLA many times. Love it.
I have been to a couple Tennessee games. Not even close to UW in terms of drinking. Auburn-not close. Florida seemed pretty subdued. Ole Miss-too small. I will admit I have not seen Bama or Georgia for home games yet.
Listen,I know its hard to imagine fans being better drinkers than Tiger Fans, but I think thats the case here. Tiger fans probably remind me most of Badger fans comparing my travels. All of these stadiums are probably louder and more into the game than at Wisconsin on a consistent basis...but I am commenting on the drinking specifically. Half of the students are not on time for the games because they are drinking. Many of our school songs involve drinking. Our scene in Madison has tons of bars and beer gardens with lines everywhere. Its not like LSU with the tailgating setups under the live oaks.
LSU is awesome. Wisconsin is completely different and so much about drinking that I am sure most of you would not think that highly of it in comparision. Here is an example of the craziness that is Camp Randall.
