Do they usually pick up very many LSU or SEC games?

I don't know some of the other games being played in each week, but I am sure LSU has a chance for Gameday when they play Florida, Georgia, Auburn, or even Bama.

You would think those would be on CBS. I'm just curious about the OOC gaems.

LSU is playing 4 cupcake OOC teams. App st is the only one nationally televised. I can only imagine the announcers going on and on about both teams meeting the next season as national champions.

If you're out of state, like I am, it's a great deal. Any game that's televised - even the PPV Tiger Vision games, or Jefferson Pilot games that are only regionally broadcasted - gets picked up by Game Plan. But they are blacked out in the local viewing area (Louisiana) so if you live in La. it's probably not that great a deal.

That's why I want it. I'm in OK and usually have to sit on here and get score updates. It's really not a bad deal for 129.

I'm thinking about getting it just to watch a bunch of college football... it really isn't too bad of a deal; you're right.

Jbird.. Another reason it sucked is because EVERY week pretty much the best games they show each week dont come in. i.e. the screen is black when you switch to the channel.
Oh and yeah they did show a few SEC match ups but like I said I couldnt watch any of them. Huge waste of money for me.
I just pray for SEC network.

I think it's a good deal. Plus, living in ACC country, the local ABC affiliate will pick up a crappy ACC game instead of a good SEC game, and there's very few of the Jeff Pilot games up here. No problemo, I switch over the game plan and there it is. You'll probably find the same thing is true for Big 12 games in your area.

You might only get 2-3 games a week you're really interested in, but over the season that makes it really worthwhile to me - it's pretty cheap for a season pass, I think I paid $115 last year.

Yeah, I can watch college football all day with this shite.
I might as well try it out. It couldn't hurt anything.

What he said! It's a great deal for us out of staters. I usually get to see at least 10 or 11 of the 14 games. (Assumption here is the SEC Championship game.)

I'm not sure about other carriers, but with Direct TV you can get Gameplan for one day for like $20. There are only about 3 or 4 games a year that aren't televised so I just call the day of the game and add it. You can also go to the Direct TV website and it shows which games will be blacked out in what areas.

I ordered Gameplan one year and was pissed to find out that if you live in Louisiana it doesn't pick up LSU games.

I am an SEC guy in ACC country since 1990. Gameplan literally "saved" my psychological health. We get it on Dish every year. I have never missed an SEC game since it arrived 6 or so years ago. Every TigerVision game has been on it. I have never had a black screen like some of the folks on here. The amount of games available on the thing is incredible. All SEC JP games, all SEC "Vol-TV" or "Bama" vision. Plus lots of Big 12, Pac 10 and other games. It is a great deal for 129 and then ESPN charges less for renewal once you repeat. It has been 99 to renew, but this year mine went up to 109. It is the best football money I spend every year.

This is my third year of ordering it. You will not regret it if you love college football.I saw most every game last year. You will see many SEC games.

I am reading up on DirecTv and seeing something about a landline phone. Do you need to have this to get extra stations when you order? (All I see right now is that that is for pay-per-view stuff; which I don't really care about).

Nah, they will swear you need a landline phone hooked up to your machine to do anything but it's not true. I didn't have one for a long time.

You can order over the phone, or through the internet. No problems.

I have had gameplan for years. It is worth the money for those of us not living in Louisiana.
