What happened to Mike Golic?

I just caught the tail-end of Trey Wingo saying something about "this tragic time" for Golic. I know he left in the middle of the M&M show yesterday. Anyone know??

His father-in-law died. It's weird, Wingo keeps talking about "the Big guy" going through something, but I don't think he's mentioned his wife once. You know, the chick whose dad died.
