I'd be willing to do away with the political board/money board in favor of a music board. I think that would be a fair trade off.

"I disagree with this" that there are enough boards. The volume of posts on the OT makes it difficult to wade through if you only stop by once in awhile.

We get enough music threads on the OT to justify it. I also think it would encourage more discussion. I know we have a decent number of musicians and music lovers on here. I do not think we need a board for every topic in the world but if we can justify a Movie/TV Board then why not a Music Board?

Heres the problem. If you post a thread about a substantive music topic on the OT , it's treated in the typical arse -clownish OT manner.
Hence the need for a music board. So we can delve a little deeper into it, discuss things a little more deeply. Especially since half of us are listening to Ipods as we type.

Chicken determines what new boards are needed by demand and traffice usually. There are at most 5 music threads a day. Hardly enough to constitute a new board.

There should be no reason to get rid of any board. Part of posting record numbers, as they so proudly display on the home page, is expanding your site. We are long overdue for a music board. It would keep decent music threads from becoming lost in OT dribble.
