Looking for a picture of a LSU groom's cake (preferably Death Valley, but I am open to other possibilities). I have tried google but was not satisfied with the results. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There isn't that many that are really good. I got married last year and we looked and looked, but most sucked and were way overpriced!

Baums on Perkins mad 2 LSU helmets for me. Was different, cheap, and still LSU. I had seen to many of the stadium cakes and did not want that.

I actually had an LSU player as my cake and my wife got 15 on the jersey for Flynn. Was pretty sweet.

If you have a really good picture of Death Valley (in the size that you want it to be on the cake), just bring it to a bakery and ask them if they can scan it onto rice paper. Gambino's here in Baton Rouge just scanned the book jacket of the last Harry Potter book onto rice paper and then put it on my ten year old son's birthday cake last week. I paid the cost of the cake I chose plus twelve dollars for the scan. It was really a great looking cake, and of course, my son was amazed to see "the book" on his birthday cake! The rice paper is carefully placed on top of the icing and starts to kind of dissolve into the frosting. The color quality was great and you can't taste anything but cake and icing! You can have them write whatever you want, if anything. I hope this information is helpful.

Yeah Ambrosia bakery does a good job with that stuff. My groom's cake is going to be an LSU cake from them.

We're doing a traditional tiered cake with a bride and groom tiger on the top of ours instead of a stadium - I don't know if it'll help ... it's cheaper than the stadium and easier to find someone to do, but it's still LSU-themed

I had a LSU stadium cake made for my wedding at Thurman's Bakery in Monroe. It was only $400. It was awesome. I would post a picture of it but all the image hosting sites are block here at work.

If you will give me your email address I will email you a picture.

I had one last January from Gambino's in BR. Cost was under $300.00. I'll try to get a picture and post.

my sister was at a wedding and she said that the grooms cake was an LSU tailgating tent. But on the side of the tent they had pictures that were scaned on the cake of the groom and the groomsmen tailgating that were taken at LSU tailgating events. So it looked like a tailgate set up with the wedding party on the tailgating spot. I plan on doing this for my wedding this year.
