Be careful with Petrino...Louisville is still cleaning up the mess he left behind that Kragthorpe is cleaning up...allegations of point shaving, players using illeagal drugs, players running amuck the program, and Petrino was known to take players that were borderline questionable in academics and character.
Poor Kragthorpe is constantly suspending players and kicking some of the team.
Petrino is good....but borderline with his decisions to get the team good...also, known to sweep things under the rug.
Good luck with him...but, do not be surprised if trouble arises out of FayetteNam (and you thougt Nutt had issues)

Allegations of point shaving? Haven't heard that one yet.

Something tells me the hog fans will expect a world beater and then long for Nutt back when Ole Miss lays the smack down on them.

Keep in mind....rumors swirling around in Kentucky that several players maybe investigated for throwing games...but, Kragthorpe really inherited a major mess...had to deal with major issues with players lacking in off field issues...alot of stuff was swept under the rug with Petrino...look how he allowed Williams (Miami player with multiple arrests on the team)...
Petrino is a great coach...just not good in the players interest in academic aspect of the program

i'm with you on that one. nutt was underrated and petrino is being overrated. i do think arkansas will improve, but they aren't going to turn into worldbeaters

He allowed Williams on his team? Very questionable. Louisville is not the SEC either. Petrino is a good hire I believe but I don't think he comes in and sets the world on fire.

They will expect an improvement over Nutt and I don't see it happening.

Petrino and Jurich (AD) pursued and allowed Williams on the team...of course, Petrino left and poor Krags was left to kick Williams off the team because of a recent arrest of excessive noise coming out of his car and in the process, the Louisville PD smelled pot reaking in his car...which Williams was caught swallowing it, unfirtunately...Williams did not swallowing enough of it.
Kragthorpe has suspended many players this year to send a message off field issues will not be tolerated...that Petrino allowed.
Oh, Hog fans...good luck with him on the rubber chicken circuit...he does not do them...and he is not going to give good media for you guys to see.

Clyde has a driver....and no...Brooks was not interested.
Link or shut the hell up fool!

Williams worked schools for visits and many did not want him when it came right down to it. He was trouble and MOST coaches saw that. He fell to Lousiville because others did not want him.

I'm sure for several months now we will be brainwashed here in Ar-Kansas on how Petrino was the number one choice that the PTB were going after all along. Can promise you not one bad word will be written or spoken by the media of any past controversies involving Petrino.

every team in the country wanted willie
he was a 5* recruit with tons of offers, if brooks didn't technically offer him it was sheerly because he knew he had no chance of getting him in the first place

INITIALLY they wanted him. Your memory of his recruitment is hazy. The only reason why he fell to Louisville was because the big names backed off of him.

Show me a link that shows there was interest from Kentucky.
Ahh, you won't...because Kentucky was not interested.
And you did not think we would get a driver for Clyde....that was taken care of after the first day on the job.

um, i think you're the one with the hazy memory
he signed with miami and played for them for a couple years...or did you forget?
trust me, everyone wanted willie. he was an 18-year old in the body of an nfl linebacker.

Again, most programs backed off and Miami has been known for taking crimnals on their team. Saban was not looking to sign problem guys that were team cancers. I'm sure the Criminoles were wanting him when he signed with Miami.

Do you really need a link to show that UK had interest in a 5* recruit? You must not think very highly of your program. Every team in the country was interested - you have to at least stop and give pause on that kind of talent.

link? i think you'll find that lsu has had many more players arrested than miami in the past five years
