he'll fall flat on his fricking face at michigan and won't even get an october sniff of a national title the rest of his career ... he is on the verge of parlaying minimal coaching talent into a $3 million a year salary

if he's such a shite coach, and he's leaving, who cares what the frick he did and the timing, he wasn't going to win the NC anyways, according to your logic. so why be so angry?

Yesterday, Miles was asked if there was any contact with UM and he said no. Within minutes, the AD put out a press release that UM had been granted permission to speak with Miles. Inconsistent statements? Um yeah.

No way UM calls and RIGHT AWAY LSU grants permission and puts out a press release. Miles knew they called and said they didn't.

I'm not faulting Miles for lying. Just saying that what you see is not what is real.

Miles' people have been talking to UM. You don't jump into a multimillion dollar contract in one meeting. Look at Texas A$M and Ole Miss. Think that happened in a day?

And no way UM goes public with the meeting unless they know they're getting Miles. They will not have egg on their faces the way Bama did when they went from coach to coach to coach last year peddling their crappyass job.

And no way Miles agrees to the meeting unless he knows he'll get it. Miles may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he wouldn't stick his neck out if he didn't know he'd get the job.

Perhaps b/c this year was an anomoly in that there are no big powerhouses. That the NC was ours for the taking. That opportunities like this don't come along often. B/c we screwed our perfect chance by losing to Kentucky and Arkansas.

like i said earlier, the only reason michigan asked for permission is because miles has to sign the contract in person .. it will be signed at about 7:30 saturday night in a hallway in the georgia dome ...

which amazes me how 85% of the idiots in here are buying this crap ..

michigan has been talking to miles' agent since the end of the appalachian state game .. carr has been on the hot seat all season long ... i think this LSU team figured that out and you saw a lot of fire slowly drip out of this team ..

...put the pipe away my friend.

Here's what has to happen.

1.) LSU beats Tennessee.

2.) BCS No. 1 Missouri loses to No. 8Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship Game.

3.) BCS No. 2 West Virginia loses — at home — to 4-7 Pittsburgh.

4.) BCS No. 6 Virginia Tech, which lost to LSU 48-7 in September, loses the ACC Championship Game to No. 11 Boston College or BCS voters and the computer polls leapfrog the Tigers over the Hokies.

5.) LSU also has to leapfrog BCS No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Kansas, neither of which even won their respective divisions in the SEC or Big 12 and are idle this week. The Tigers also have to hope they can stay ahead of Big 12 champ Oklahoma.

I completely agree that he is gone, but I don't think he was that bad of hire. He has done some great things here, but as long as you inbred fricks stay around it won't matter what he does.

If you are so naive to think that Saban would have won two MNC ('06 and '07), then you are too dumb for me to converse with. Saban had one.....ONE......ONE.....good year, and you want to suck him dry!! I hope Saban comes back.......when we lose four, two, three games a year and he spouts his dictator shite at press conferences.........I will be fricking laughing while you jackoff to the sound of his voice!!

1, 2, and 5 are more than likely going to happen. We win saturday, then Tech doesnt have to lose. We will jump them if we win, so 4 is irrelevant.

Now 3 is the one that isnt going to happen

you want to call people stupid and inbred ?? what a fricking idiot .. you don't call taking a team that went 4-7 and 3-8 the previous two seasons and going 8-4 and beating a damn good georgia tech team in the peach bowl a good season ? you don't call winning the sec championship and our first sugar bowl in 33 years a good season ? ONE good season ?? are you really that fricking stupid ?

i seem to recall a period of time -- oh, say from 1989 to 1995 and then in 1998 and 1999 when we would have killed to "just" lose four games in a season ...

face it .. saban put us back on the college football radar .....
