I think he already knows he is going to LSU next year, and he is wondering how in the hell he is going to get out of Alabama alive.

Thanks for the link.. The answer to the question about blocking Dorsey was brutal "I saw his arse going this way more than that way"

Yep it was!

Don't know if he had been crying but it appears it was a very emotional game for him. He appeared nervous. I truly think he regrets so much leaving LSU in the first place and would come back here if given the opportunity.

I hate to admit, as I have been so big on hating this guy since he took the Bama job. But you can't help but like him after watching that interview. And the quotes of his that they read on CBS before the game, about how he regrets tarnishing his relationship with the people of Louisiana . . etc. My hatred towards him is gone. I think if he could take back what he did in leaving LSU, he would.

That being said, I still HATE Alabama with a fiery passion wish them the worst fate imaginable. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!

I don't think its going to happen, but can you imagine how Bama would react if Saban left them to come back to LSU - and took a paycut to do it?

I think he would even take a paycut to come back. I mean, what can you do with 4 mil that you can't do with 1.5 or 2 mil. Once your a tiger, you can't get it out of your system. His family was happy here.

I don't think it will happen but if it does, I've tried to imagine the scenario there. There will be a shortage of straightjackets in that state.

Maybe not with his LSU buy-out clause that I'm sure is in his Bama contract.

There is no buyout clause in his contract.

I'm loving that smack down he put on the guy about Dorsey.

I have always had respect for him. I think that he made a bad choice in leaving LSU and he knows it. I do not think that he would do it all over again.

Likewise, I have always respected Miles and feel that he Got out of Saban's Shadow way before today.

Les is More, but Nick is still pretty slick

about twice as much?

LSU could go up to $3M for the next coach, I'm guessing, even with Stanley holding the purse.

Agreed. The thing that jumped out at me was how if he were completely honest he'd be saying man I wish I was still coaching those studs!

My sentiments too. Saban is not a guy you'd ever expect to see on the verge of tears in a PC. I think he almost lost it when they asked what Miles said after the game. It appears that for a non-sentimental guy, Saban remains pretty sentimental about LSU. Some of the comments he's made over the last few weeks have been interesting to say the least. e.g., Saying he came to Alabama to get back into college coaching, and that it happened to be the job that was open --- LSU wasn't. His regrets about alienating Louisianians, his deep feelings for the players at LSU he recruited, etc. --- comes across as wistful and the Bammers have definitely picked up on that too.

I don't know if he'd want come back to La. It is very evident that he and Terri are hurt by the "hate" that has come his way since taking the Bama job. But I also think the Sabans probably now realize that Nick's own actions between Jan and Sept after accepting the Bama post stirred most of that up. IMO, Nick's comments this month have done a lot to rehab his image with Louisiana folks. I personally feel much better about him.

I think TGBFTL's rendition of the pregame during Bama's last timeout finally got to him.

At the end of the PC he impied that the players he started out w/ at LSU were better than the players he started out w/ at Bama.

The guy is worth 4.5 mil, and Bama will contend for the MNC w/in 2 yrs.

YES I WOULD TAKE HIM BACK! FLAME AWAY IF YOU MUST.

Imagine the minds of Saban, Pellini, and Crowton coming together. It would be like the perfect fricking storm!!!!

I know it is fantasy, but damn what a fantasy.
