Pretty interesting that Steele and Chavis are from the same home town.

Gotta say... the presence of Ed Orgeron on this staff is pretty damn encouraging... what took Miles so long to do that?

Not really.

I agree though. Coach O should have replaced Brick last season. Yaw yaw brings great energy and is a solid DLine coach.

It was more a matter of timing. Coach O would have preferred a head coaching position somewhere if it was available. It wasn't, and we had an opening. The timing finally worked out.

That background music was horrible.

Wow, I was totally expecting their answers to be generic coach-speak drivel, tired cliches and canned platitudes, but what I heard was...exactly that:

lots of energy
desire to be a good defense
tremendous chemistry
coaches are leaders
fun watching guys get better
energy about football at LSU

yea that was terribly boring stuff. Softball questions, with generic answers.

how about some personnel questions or something. Crazy how some media members can be so out of touch.

oh yea, and frick that backround music

Steele sounds exactly like Chief... same diction too, although makes sense considering they grew up together.

Sorry I pointed out the stereotypical "down on the bayou" music that ESPN seems to shack us up with in every segment.

but Steele actually smiles...

Not going to lie, I'm cautiously optimistic, but Steele's past anxiety attacks under game pressure scares the shite out of me.

two things....he hasn't had this type of talent to work with before, and there is such a thing as people learning from their mistakes.....

also....a third I guess, but he is surrounded by great football minds. Honestly, I see the LSU defense as dominant this year....and if it isn't, with the talent we have, then I'll give in to your anxiety attack....just don't see it being nothing but a great defense.

All I want to know is if they got that handshake down on the first take?
