Isn't it one of those early access games? It looked interesting but I told myself no more early access

in the video one faction has built a fort. another faction is trying to capture/destroy the fort. the raiders look to be on the way to winning until another faction comes to the forts aid. the raid goes down hill fast for the raiders once the helper faction arrives. the raiding clan respawns in their base cabin after being wiped out by the helper clan aided by the leader of the defenders of the base. the leaders of the defenders and helpers proceed to throw c4 on the respawn cabin of the raiders, killing most of the raiders. which effectively ended the raid.

from the rust wiki...
quote:

The player must gather resources to survive and craft items within the game, with the exception of any starting gear which includes a rock, a torch, and 2 bandages. Players gather resources such as cloth, food, stone, metal ore, sulfur ore and wood, which can be obtained from harvesting animals, mining rocks and chopping trees or woodpiles respectively. The player starts with an initial crafting list of items such as weapons, clothing, and building materials. As the player progresses throughout the game, he or she can find blueprints and research kits for more advanced items to craft. These can be found in hidden crates, killing mutated animals, or by getting items taken from other players' bases.

During gameplay, there are many challenges that the player may face, such as starvation, drowning, hypothermia, attacks from wildlife primarily from bears and wolves, or exposure to radiation from the many irradiated areas throughout the island. Some irradiated areas surround man-made structures throughout the game map, which can contain regularly spawned items such as firearms and blueprints. This provides an incentive to the player to risk exposure for the items. Due to the game being exclusively multiplayer, attacks from other players are also an ever-present challenge. Navigation can also be a daunting challenge in Rust. With no in-game map, new players must look to landmarks and sunrise/sunsets in order to get their bearings. Some third party maps have been created;[2] however, nothing to date has been released by Facepunch.

A prevalent concept in Rust is to form factions with other players. These factions usually create housing for their members, provide items and supplies and participate in organized raiding. Raiding is when a group of players organize an attack on another faction or group of players to steal their supplies and destroy their housing. An alternative to joining a faction is living the life of a nomad. Generally solo players want to build their house in an isolated spot and make sure to have good weaponry to defend themselves from other players and factions.

Development[edit]
Development originally began as a DayZ clone. [3] Over time, updates were added, including animals, hunting, crafting, and armor. On 8 February 2014, the placeholder zombie mobs were removed so users wouldn't get too attached to them and replaced with another placeholder red bears and wolves.[4] As of March 2015, Rust is still in its alpha stage of development.[5][6]

This game got boring quick for me, a lot faster than DayZ mod. Reign of Kings is pretty much the same thing, but with swords and arrows.
