Seriously, it's Patrick Swayze.

Swayze thought Southern Accent= saying "heah" instead of "here"

Other than that, he talks like normal. . .then he forces out another "heah"

fricking this. Being from SC and knowing the dialect he should be aiming for makes it even worse. Hes not even close to getting it right.

Too many to list. A few from my private hall of shame:

Meryl Streep in Julia

Paul Richards in All The Young Men (1960). A Korean War drama w/Alan Ladd and Sidney Poitier. Richards not only has a hideously bad accent but needless to say, being from the South he is also a racist who refuses to take orders from Sgt Poitier

Michael Caine in Hurry Sundown -- quite a few lulus in this, but his was the worst

Practically the entire cast of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof

Some Canadian actor in the '80s HBO western Draw, with Kirk Douglas and James Coburn. Whoever it was that played the villain -- I've blocked his name from my mind.

The answer is, and shall always be, Nic Cage in Con Air. Only helps bolster one of the GOAT performances in cinematic history.

Dennis Hopper - season 1 of 24

Holy shite that was bad. I watched 24 before I had ever seen him in anything, but had heard about what a great actor he is- I've actually never been able to appreciate him in any movies I've seen since because all I hear is that idiotic attempt at a Slavic accent.

Any time I hear the exaggerated Georgia or South Carolina accents for something set in New Orleans it makes me think they aren't even trying.

And, of course, everyone is sweating with slow turning ceiling fans and they are all either in the French Quarter or in a swamp.

Maybe with more movies being made here, Hollywood will become more adept at casting Louisiana.
