Shaq is one of the best centers ever and has 1
Kobe is one of the great scorers of our generation...has 1 (that should probably be CP3s...)
Duncan is one of the best Power Forwards ever and has 2

MVPs are not that easy to come by.

How come ?
He's a generational big, just had a crazy year for 22 years old, and if we looked up your post history on all things Anthony Davis related, i'm certain it's going to be 95% negative/downplaying virtually any and every AD related tidbit.

But you already know that, no need to play dumb.

The MVP is a weird award. Kobe and Shaq combined for two. It's very possible that Davis could finish as an all-time great without winning two MVPs.

Definitely true. Shaq and Kobe are two of the all time greats, both easily top 15 players all time, and they didn't get multiple MVPs. It is what it is.

As long as AD keeps developing and turns into a great player, I really don't care about any awards but Finals MVP.

That being said, the media hype surrounding him is intense. If the rumors are true, he finished 4th in voting this year. He'll be the league MVP at some point.

Because most big men hit their stride early. He may sustain it, and if so, will be considered one the best ever. I'm just not going to go predicting it, but would be happy if he does. I think he'll win 1 for what it's worth.

Every big man that has ever played at this level has maintained.

Maybe he doesn't, but the odds are on his side, since as I said, no big man has been that good that early and fallen off.

Under. If he would win 2 regular season MVP's, he'd be considered of the best big men ever. I think he's good but not that good.

He's that good.

He is starting to get that Lebron James level hype though. When shows like First Take, as bad as it is, are saying "He'll be the best player in the world in the next 2-3 years", the hype train is going to be ridiculous. He is destined to be the next star of this league. Like I said, only thing that'll stop him from getting at least one is health.

I say his numbers next year will be around 26 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, with nearly 2 steals a game, with a high PER and high win shares. I think at his peak we could be looking at around 30 a game with the rest of the stats being a little higher as well. He has that much potential, and has made huge leaps each year so far.

AD is already a top 5 player in the league at 22 and will get at least 1 MVP before his career is over if he stays healthy. He is crazy efficient.

He will be with the Pelicans for at least 5 more years probably making him 27. That is peak age for superstardom, so I'm saying he wins 1.

They are hard to win. 1 is a huge accomplishment.

Where are you seeing this? I had him at 5 but wouldn't be surprised to see him beat out Lebron.

1. Curry
2. Harden
3. Cp3

Is pretty obv for the top 3 jmo.

No matter how good he is the team will Likely have to become a top 2-3 team in the conference for him to win MVP award. Of the players on the roster currently who can get better besides Davis? I don't see anybody. Evans. Gordon. Holliday. Asik. Etc. Etc. These guys are who they are. So unless they clean house which isn't likely I don't thjnk the team will be successful enough for Davis to win multiple Mvps.

Gordon's ridiculous contract being gone will allow us to sign some depth, right? I like Gordon, but he isn't worth that contract at this time.

One thing is for certain, he'll win more than Harden.

Getting the Pelicans to the playoffs in the West was pretty impressive. Especially considering they were absolutely abysmal 3 seasons ago.

There was a rumored ballot leak a few days ago. It was Curry, Harden, Lebron, Davis, Westbrook if I remember correctly. It could be complete bullshite.
