It looks like a solid stock that's poised for a comeback. Good financials and good dividend (3.34%)

Used to work for them and still own a slug of stock. Good company, very diversified, will be fine.

They are one of the rumored companies looking to buy Sperry's MWD/LWD and Directional services from Halliburton.

Not sure if I see that one happening, well services would be a completely new segment for them.

I have a family member who is high up in the ranks of NOV. Just through small chat Sunday he said they are sitting on a ton of cash at the moment...asked him about buyouts and he said nothing certain, but a lot of options on the table.
