Is one tree hill actually good or just shitty girl tv?

I've been debating watching this for a long time. I like girly tv that is actually good like Dawson's creek, gossip girl, the OC, etc...
I don't wanna watch some pretty little liars type bullshite, though.
So is OTH good? Rank it against other similar shows if possible. Pretty sure this will take my bar game up another level.

The first two seasons are OK but very soap opera-ish.
Like extreme twists.
Once it settled down a little it got better. I liked a lot of the later episodes after Keith died.

Same here. Watched it driving across the country. Girls were cute enough, story wasn't completely terrible.

Why the hell would you spoil that for some people.
To OP I'm a guy who doesn't like those kind of shows. It's a lot about basketball but not too much to where girls won't like it. I loved OTH. It's one of my favorite series. When they get older it gets better. the directors weren't afraid to do crazy shite and that's what I liked
