LSU all-time great Ashlee Ducote has held the single season RBI record for LSU softball for 15 years. Jaquish tied it last night against Texas A&M. It will be a great accomplishment for the sophomore and shows just how great Ducote was to have held this record this long.

Geaux Tigers!

Congratulations Sahvannah!!

The record is 63. There are a few other records that might go down this season as well. The only two that won't are total hits at 91 and total bases in a game at 15. She holds average, on base percentage, slugging and doubles I believe.

Not necessarily. Bell and Landry 21 and 25 hits behind that total. At minimum there's like 15 games left but more likely 20 plus. They could both get that hit number in that time.

Do you mean all records, as in season, career, and game? Because if one record is safe it's career steals.

Hate to break it to you but those are all going down. And the players this year are doing it in considerably less games than Ashlee who accomplished all of that in 72 games.

No matter how you cut the cake or how the season ends for this year's team...the season Ducote had was epic. No doubt.

And the season Ducote had was with the dead bat when compared to the bats used today. I can't imagine Ashlee Ducote swinging today's bats. She, in my opinion, is the best hitter LSU has ever had.

I hope the 2015 version wins it all and breaks every record but it is good to give tribute to the great players that gave us the foundation of this incredible program.
