It would take a kid who plays football in Calgary two years to adjust to the weather. The kids in Canada do fine at places like Michigan because the climate is similar. The heat difference is one thing, the humidity is a whole different animal.

I have no doubt that there are some very talented football players up there, but think of not like this.

Picture the dude you know that consistently kills the biggest, best deer, year in and year out. Got him? I got mine.

Where does he hunt? The dude I know has 3 or 4 kick arse spots, real close to his house, and he stays in those woods. I mean he goes every day. He'll take a cpl trips a year to SE Kansas, but by and large, he stays close to the house, in the woods he knows best.

Reason? Economics. Can't kill'em unless your in the stand. To stay in the stand, you gotta hunt close.

Um I think there is a reason our staff is paid what they are and we post on the rant.

Dinardo was also paid to be a good recruiter. But he prolly doesn't get a check from us anymore.

The task is to:

Recruit talent. (Even quarterbacks)
Develop talent. (Even quarterbacks)
Win with talent.

Then stay around until you want to retire.

These International Bowl games aren't really the best for recruiting any potential prospects. I work with USA Football and handle all of the ops for the national team programs.

I took a team to Canada once, played one half American rules and one Canadian. When our RB's saw that extra wide field, their eyes lit up. We won 48-0 and it wasn't as close as the score indicated.

Why stop at Canada? Russia has lots of potential lineman and linebackers. Nigeria and Caribbean have sprinters. Sweden has quarterbacks (snowball fighting is the national sport).

I mean, I see what you're trying to do here, but the premise is dumb. If you think international players can't be game changers, not sure what to tell you.
