80 series land cruiser
Toyota Prado (gx570)
200 series cruiser (not the best 4x4 but a fine vehicle)

I have all three.

Early Bronco or Landcrusher, imo

I would also add the 1965-1970 Jeep cj5 with the Buick V 6 engine. Very strong and dependable. I have owned two.

Freakin Dodge Power Wagon!

It was the first new vehicle I bought.
That 304 was way too much motor for that thing.

Toyota FJ 60 Land Cruiser. not the 62 with the auto transmission. put a locker in the rear and maybe one in the front axle and the 60 is damn near unstoppable.

A Land Cruiser will always get you home.

Jeeps will mostly get you home.

Land Rovers may or may not get you home.

I had an '86 K5 in high school. I loved that truck. Best I have had though was probably my 97 4Runner.

International Scout - we tore up some ground in HS with this one. Have a 97 jeep wrangler now and it is not bad in the mud either.

Early Broncos, Scouts, and solid axle yotas are hard to beat. Loving my little Suzuki Samurai with 32" silverbacks on it though. Goes through anything I've thrown at it, and is simple to work on. More like a sxs with 4 seats.

man I've been looking for a decent samurai for months now for a camp truck. They are all way overpriced or junk

when I sell the bronco I might bite the bullet on one

You can get a sidekick, tracker, or vitara for a decent price.

There are a few people hunting with em down here.

Tough as nails.

I actually had a Daihatsu Rocky in high school. It was the only one I ever saw, then or since.
