Just catching up with this thread...people are questioning if Jon Snow is Robert's son? Even though his mother is a mystery so far, I thought it was made pretty clear that he was Ned's bastard son. Where is this Robert talk coming from?
Well, just because she's the mother of dragons doesn't mean jack shite these days since she can't control them. I used to LOVE Dany and that whole storyline, but now she fricking sucks and I'm just aggravated when she's on screen.
It was all cool when she could control them and she got Drogon to blast that slaveowner in front of everybody ("Dracaris, motherfricker!") when he was a baby, but now that they're growing up, she can't control them anymore.
Dany is like that stupid arse mom you get pissed at when you're trying to shop in Wal-Mart and her kids are running rampant fricking shite up all over the store, and when you finally find the parent responsible for them, she's just chilling in the snack aisle playing on her goddamn phone.

BUT STOP GIVING HER 30 MINUTES OF AIR TIME ABOUT HER frickING SLAVES WHEN THERE ARE 30 OTHER STORYLINES THAT ARE A BILLION TIMES MORE INTERESTING THAT GET 5 MINUTES MAX AN EPISODE.

frick yes.
Almost every time Dany is onscreen for the last, what, two and a half seasons, it's been almost the exact same bullshite. She's freeing slaves and thinking she's the shite, then it backfires. Or she's struggling to handle responsibility and fricking something up. Or she tries to be a badass and that backfires. Or someone is trying to tell her what's up and she doesn't want to listen, and then whatever she chooses to do ends up backfiring and everybody's like "Yeah, no shite...I frickING TOLD YOU SO, MHYSA!"
I mean shite, she even thinks her shite doesn't stink when she speaks Valyrian, and ole girl Messandei has to step in and tell her she's fricking that up too.
I'm like you...her story is at a stalling point, and I get that, and don't have a problem with that. But stop giving her so much damn screen time, especially when nothing ever changes (at least not to the point of needing that much time).
And on top of all of that, she isn't even getting naked anymore.

Watching a woman be indecisive for 30 minutes while consistently making poor decisions is not my idea of fiction or fantasy or fun. The 10 seconds of dragon time and 20 seconds of Daario arse isn't helping either. That's not the ratio I signed up for. Hell, even her dragons are moody and boring now.

So I was watching S1:E1 tonight cuz I was bored and thought I'd give the series another go around with trying to pay more attention to detail.
Question: how many Stark direwolves are still alive? I know I remember Sansa's getting the axe and I believe a few more of them died as well. I think Jon Snow's is still kicking.
Then I guess for funzies do you think they have any role to play at all or have we moved completely on to bigger creatures like dragons and they're just a forgotten part of the tale. (I suppose other than Bran's who he channels or whatever:: if I remember correctly)

Rickon went with Osha to stay under the protection of the Umbers, who are Stark bannermen. They did this at the end of Season 3, I think.

bullshite. They can damn sure expand on scenes for other storylines. I mean there are always about 10+ plots going on, yet Dany gets a shite ton of screen time and almost nothing ever happens. shite, (like someone said) I'd rather Theon and Ramsay than seeing Dany be stagnant for 20 minutes an episode.
And I love action on the show, but don't need people breaking necks and cashing checks for 60 minutes. But Dany is just straight up boring now. And even the dragon scenes are meh these days (though the quick one when Drogon scared her this episode was pretty solid).
shite, the dialogue in a lot of scenes is awesome...I'll take that instead of Dany with that smirk on her face. I could watch Tyrion and Varys talk about the weather all day long...give me more of that. But on top of all that, we still haven't seen Brandon/Hodor yet this season, or Theon/Ramsay (which includes Yara sailing around to help them), or Rickon/Osha, Jorah Mormont, Tormund/wildlings, etc. All of that would be better than some of the Dany bullshite we have to endure.
And goddammit, I still want to know if there is a chance that the Hound could still be alive. I know it's not likely, but he was far too badass of a character to be killed by Brienne IMO.

Ships for 100,000 people?
You'd have to have people that know how to make ships, and then have to have a place to go after you got around the wall. And I believe there is a castle of the nights watch that is at the sea, so they could sniff out that many ships trying to cross the border

My favorite character. I have a hard time believing they would let a major character like that die off screen.
