For me, I would say if Jesus of Nazareth did exist, divine or not, he seems to have impacted the course of world events the most. However I think another good argument could be made for Isaac Newton who was the key figure in starting the scientific revolution.

What say the rant?

Easily Jesus, and yes, he was a real person. I think even atheists and other religions acknowledge his existence as a living human at the time.

Ghengis khan. Sorry but there's really no other answer. A lot of rulers used Christianity as a justification for their actions but the majority of them would have done what they did anyway. Ghengis single handedly reshaped the anthropological legacy of all of Asia and the Middle East. And part of Europe.
