i'm not defending her or damning her, but feral cats (and outdoor cats in general, but esp feral ones) decimate bird populations, which is causing major ecological stress.
The bird population is just fine. Feral cats keep the rat population under control.

good for her
nothing wrong killing a feral tom cat that could impregnate other cats creating more stray cats

Yea but people should learn you don't have to document your whole life on the interwebs.

No one one in America would have let that feral tomcat walk through their house, that's unless they wanted to catch a disease. Some Americans are so stupid.

Yeah it looks like she shot that cat in her living room. For she knows the cat wasn't even feral but somebody who let their tomcat out the house.

Couldn't agree more, kill everything that doesn't have an owner.

Well and her general narcissistic behavior after the fact.
it was an arrow through the head. better than being run over imo

Pretty amazed that someone of her assumed intelligence would be dumb enough to post something like this on social media.

She works in at a vet she should know there are more humane ways of putting down a cat than an arrow through the back of its head.
I wonder if she would have done that to some stray dog.

wanna know how I know you're not familiar with taking care of a farm?
Posted on 4/17/15 at 5:31 pm to hawgfaninc
Not the humane way to harvest cat IMO.

No, not really Country.

Feral tomcats will kill anything they can catch. In indoor/outdoor tomcats will kill. My shop cat is 10 years old tame as shite and he even hunts rats on occasion.

You ever try to catch a feral cat? More humane that caging it up for a while in sheer terror while you try to stick a needle through the cage.

i don't really see the issue (except that she's an idiot for taking a pic and sharing it, especially as a vet).
That is the issue. Considering her income is dependent on pet owners, that was some next level stupidity.

stray dogs and cats get taken care of regularly on a farm, I've 'taken care of' many.
but I don't go bragging about it on social media.
