If you preorder something, you have essentially given a no interest loan to that company. It's no different than people who pay income taxes with each paycheck. It is solely reserved for the trashy and eternally poor. I feel bad for them.

You are paying for the security of getting that product on day one. The price of that security is the opportunity cost of that money.

I see you subscribe to the thuggin'it'and'lovin'it school of personal wealth.

I, however, enjoy compound interest.

This is why video games are starting to suck. Because we pre-order and we get incomplete games.

oh no, you misunderstood. If the $500 you spent pre-ordering something is putting a damp in your personal budget, you're doing it all wrong anyway

It's no different than going to a convenience store rather than a grocery store or buying a single 12 ounce coke instead of a 2 liter bottle. We are constantly sacrificing some small amount of money, which is the cost of something else, usually convenience.

exceptions to what?

there is a reason to give no interest loans to companies and government?

love to hear that idiotic logic.

Next ordering will be trashy, since you lost X amount of days of opportunity cost from ordering to arrival.

Sadly, you still missed the concept of compound interest.
