It was someone else's story. I shouldn't tell it on a message board.
I'll just say that I have heard other stories from teachers that I know where they go through quite a bit of garbage and the Administration doesn't back them up at all.
This type of thing is common, although it usually doesn't come to physical assault like this.

I was really expecting this thread to be another a hot teacher sleeping with a student thing.
A white teacher at a ghetto school being harassed and assaulted by the students, faculty, and parents is actually less surprising to me. Those kids need armed guards, not teachers.
I went to a school like that for two years. It sucks being the only white face in a place like that. No one tries to pick a fight with you on their own....it's always 5-8 older students against one, with at least one or two faculty members enjoying the show.

Culturally diverse - 95%+ of the children are from culturally bankrupt urban families.
Progressive - the entire study body and most of the faculty cannot read....and the students are never disciplined for any offense.
Disciplined - the teachers will get cited and likely threatened for every little infraction
Safe - Gun free zone
Secure - they have a fence and a rent-a-cop stops by once a week to play grabass with the secretary.
