This is my 5th year as an obstacle judge. Most first-time entries don't finish, and this year's track is killer. For our first try, we kicked arse.
Top time when I left at lunch was 5-ish minutes. Last year the winning time was like 2 minutes, and the top schools from last year all went first this year.
Here are some pictures of the LSU Rover from the track going through obstacle 8.
And if you're curious, here were some of the tough obstacles.

5 and 6 were beasts too but I guess missed taking those pics.

The second run is tomorrow so everyone has a chance to improve on their times. Winners announced tomorrow night.
Tenn Tech runs every year and they're really good. They have two rovers every year.
I talked with the team (they are all graduating) and they said "Mike II" is already lined up for next year.
