We're headed down to the beach for my dad's birthday and 4th of July. We have a short trip booked with Distraction Charters. Has any of the OB ever been out with them? They are more family oriented, which we usually wouldn't care about but it will be my Dad and I, two of my brother in laws, and my 8.5 year old nephew. It will be his first time out. Actually I think it will be all of their first time out except for me and my dad. I think it is their 6 hour trip, leaving in the morning.

Well god damn, I missed the July part and saw leaving in the morning. Ive never heard of them, I have a friend that I use (Bad Habit Charters) and hunt with the owner of the Miss Jenny. Those are the only two I have ever used.

Yeah we have good contacts for Destin, and even some in PCB we used to fish with. But that was when my parents had a condo in Destin and we went out 2-3 times each summer. They sold the condo about 3 years ago, and this is the first big trip with the whole family since then. So they rented a house in a neighborhood where some of my aunt's family has stayed in before, and it is closer to Orange Beach so we're fishing out of there. Dad booked the trip because he saw that they take kids out as well, and stay closer to shore. Just thought I would see if anyone has been out with them before.

I can damn near fish off it now. I live about 400 yards from Heron Bayou and the water is retarded high.
