Man, what a great series! I know a lot of people were pissed about the ending, but really, what else could they have done? I really like the style of dialogue. I think Gannicus was my favorite character overall.

My only gripe was how Gannicus died. That guy deserved to either die a glorious death in battle or ride off into the sunset.

I wish that there would have been a spin off series.

Agreed. Great series, need to do a rewatch. Got the whole set on Blu Ray at Christmas.

Does anyone have any idea of the actual performance metrics of the show? I still view it as somewhat obscure. The writers proved very adept at rolling with the punches (e.g. the prequel season), so I don't see why they couldn't come up with something good. The question is if an actual audience exists.

They can make a lot of spin off series . Rome is like a real life game of thrones

They were in talks of doing a spinoff series around Ceaser, but they had stalled a while back then I never heard about it again

I laughed at a few of my friends who said they hated the ending. I mean, that's what happened. Spartacus died and his followers were crucified. What the hell else do you want?

I was worried for a second they were going to do a "Spartacus got away, Rome just lied about his death" type of ending. I thought the ending was great.

Caesar was nuts. I was hoping we would get a spinoff about the first triumvirate.

Easily my favorite part of the show and I'm not talking about just the profanity. We'll never see anything like that ever again on TV or the movies. They just fused broken English and Latin together seamlessly to give us a very good impression of what they talked like back then. It's ignorant to think language was the same back then as it is today. It was great.

This would've been a bad thing?

What exactly was wrong with Spartacus surviving and running off with Laeta and living a quiet life somewhere?

I'll never forget that moment where Tiberius raped Caesar and it changed him forever and probably made him stronger.
