Jason is a better story teller. Moreland is a better lyricist (spelling?)

I think Isbell is more "multiple", for lack of a better term, with his songwriting. JM is kind of a one trick pony. His trick is good, but after a few tunes it all starts to kinda sound the same.

I think isbell has more "layers" to his songwriting. more diversified. moreland's songs are all sad. which can be great but that's what you get with him. isbell has more story telling songs and some upbeat ones at that.

i have noticed that about JM

I think that is why i am really digging the song "hearts to heavy" because its more on the upbeat side
