I launched a mud boat at Lake Mary this weekend. It was seriously flooded and I guarantee you I couldn't have gotten where I was without having 4x4, leveling kit, and bigger tires. Water was to the bottom of my door and over my exhaust pipe

Before I sold my boat I considered a leveling kit for this very reason. Every year when the water was falling you'd have to cross that low spot before the bridge where the water was running out of Fosters. A few times I chickened out and thought of I had 35s instead of 33s if try it.

I'm not familiar with the area but we went down to the end of 24? and the road was flooded about a mile before the end where the launch is.

Sounds like Yall were in Ft Adams and launched on the Jackson Point rd.

I use to back my truck down there in high water till my boat would float. Water in my truck a few times and again wish I had 35s

We ended up just backing it into the ditch which we couldn't see at the time.

I wish I could go to 35x12.50s on my new truck. I wouldn't mind cutting and beating some stuff to fit them, but I like my stock rims and they are only 16x6.5 IIRC. The 285/75r16s look like baby tires to me

Those factory HD aluminum rims look great. It's a shame they're only 6.5" wide.

I just put 9" wide tires on mine and that's about as wide as they need to have IMO

I've considered leveling my 3/4 Chevy and go to a 305 or 315 but I have brand new 285 all terrains and not sure I wanna sink money in kit and tires

Been stuck twice since Feb and I'm not happy with all terrains

Mine are 11.2" if my calculations are correct. About the only way to make them more wide would be to split and weld a spacer in there. That's something I do not trust Jim Bob and his 225 buzz box doing

What you drive hammer? My old man has some 18" rims for a 3/4 ton ram.

Gas 2500hd. I'm not dark skinned, so my rims are staying 16". They fit the truck well

I'm wrong they're 17s. He put aftermarket rims on it and it looks terrible so I understand.

9/32-16's look perfect on those trucks. Barely wide enough to not look like pizza cutters and they fit really well.

Problem is there are almost no options in that range. 265's are actually too wide for those rims. Putting 305's would be nuts.
