Also, are there a lot of sheep references?
From the sheep, yep.
They believe you can't buy an apple product without being some brainwashed sheep, yet all recite the same phrases.
I've got apple products and other products. I buy what works for what I need.

I bought the $399 Sport watch as a tech piece. I see no value in paying much more for a tech piece that will be outdated in just a few years so I agree with you on that level.
However as I said before people buy new Apple products because most are already in the Apple eco system & mostly based on their solid history of putting out winners. They want to get theirs early not wait for months for production to catch up to demand. Shipping dates are already months behind.
Also, they don't see $300-$400 as a big deal for a tech piece, nor do I, and obviously a significant number can readily afford to pay a much higher price.
Price isn't much of an issue to an affluent customer base.
What will be an issue is if the Watch doesn't live up to its promises.
Time will soon tell.

But aren't smartwatches like Pebble and others compatible with iOS? There was some $15 POS on Meh.com the day that the Apple Watch went on sale that was a gag to coincide with pre-ordering kicking off that's also compatible.
They could also choose not to buy one as well. Where's this inability to choose you're discussing?

Sorry you can't follow along why OSX users are the ones that broke from the massive Windows Sheep herd in the first place & why they're not sheep for being more inclined to stick with Apple products.

Undoubtedly.
But since all you can come up with is that instead of a substantive response what does that make you?

Doing the same as everyone else is not what makes someone a "sheep". Most people use Windows simply because most people use Windows. It makes the world go 'round. It's how things get done cost-efficiently. It gets the job done. It's not the size of the herd that defines a sheep, it's the sheep.
The other "sheep" are the android fans. Same argument, different forum. My product is superior to yours because you're brainwashed, blah blah blah
If it works for you, go for it. Not sure why people feel they have to shite on things to feel somewhat superior.

As opposed to a new PC buyer having to purchase Windows 8?
Or A Samsung phone needing to be wrung of all the crapware it comes with out of the box?
Sure, in that light they have plenty of choices.
But Apple products will naturally be at the top of the list.
That doesn't make them Sheep. Someone that pays for Windows 8 because they refuse to look outside of Windows, now that's a sheep.

That's actually a decent point. But considering Android had a massive lead, and Windows phone fumbled out the box, not a big surprise.
Had Microsoft jumped on the smart phone much earlier, most of the Windows sheep would probably be on it.

There are 335 million active iPhone users. So 0.29% of Apple's mobile customer base signed up the first day. They only expect to sell to 10% of that customer base in the first year. LINK
This really is much ado about nothing, both in being a news story and people taking the time to react to it.

If you worship droid and hate Apple, yes.
For the normal folks who use whatever works for them and don't give a shite about what anyone else is using, no.
Apple/Droid is the Ford/Chevy of the Millennial generation.

Everyone has choices, but there is a huge difference between choosing products that meet one's value expectations, and voluntarily locking oneself into a particular vendor's products. As expensive as it is to buy into the Apple ecosystem, it's even more expensive to stay in it, and yet more expensive to buy out of it. Why anyone, much less a million people in one day, could so desperately want to spend so much money on a product with such limited value and lifespan is beyond me. It seems to take a certain kind of mentality, if you know what I mean.

I wonder who isn't a sheep. Fire phone users? Well no, since they're running an Android fork.
One Plus One users? Crap, still an Android fork.
Maybe Tizen-based phones? Well, Samsung is a pretty popular phone brand too, so we could call them Samsung sheep because they're even more Samsung-ingrained than Galaxy owners.
Chromebook owners? More Google sheep I guess. Maybe Hackintosh builders? Nope, just smarter Apple sheep keeping their options open. Hell, even I'm the biggest sheep of all given the number of herds I've rolled with, past and present.
What if Apple started offering Windows-only versions of some of their PCs and suddenly decided to make OS X open source? How many border collies would it take to recover from such chaos?
