Halak is old guard he is who got shipped when they went CP31. He was in goal when the Habs took out the Caps in round 1.

my predictions for the east

Habs-Senaturds- bad guys in 6. have a bad feeling about this. Mad max has NOT been cleared for contact yet. Looks like he MIGHT miss game 1. We need him if we plan on winning anything substantial.

Detroit-Tampa- Tampa in 6. Too much offense with stamkos, johnson, kucherov, and palat

Isles-Caps-Isles have had a very good year. Tavares is a star and a great captain. Can Halak get hot like in 2010? Against the Caps again? Doubtful. Why? Leagues best Powerplay in the beltway. Plus ovie and backie. Caps in 6.

Rags-Pens-The rags are built for the playoffs and have a rare combo of speed, skill and toughness. Pens are on their last legs having lost 5 of their last 6 and are without 3 D men which will be their undoing. Rags in 5.

This isn't unique to the Hawks. They had terrible ownership resulting in awful teams, which leads to low attendance and apathy. You can look no further than the NFL team in your own city for another example of this phenomenon

Rams average in the high 80's low 90's capacity percentage even during the worst 5 year run in NFL history for a franchise. Hawks were in the 60s in capicity percentage during their shite run.

But that wasnt my point, my point was that Chicago fans are nothing special but they all seem to claim they go "waay back" as Hawks fans.

The Rams haven't averaged 90% capacity since 2008 and have been consistently bottom 3-4 in the league. For the country's most popular sports league that only plays 8 home games a year, that's pretty terrible

You're right, there is nothing special about them. Their attendance ebbs and flows with the peaks and valleys of the team. When they win their fans come out in the millions for the Stanley Cup parade, and when they go through lean years attendance declines. Pretty much every franchise in sports outside of a handful are the same way in this respect

And that was the original point I made.

I said high 80's to 90. Nothing inaccurate about that. 2007 and 2008 were in the high 90s. You are trying to take a shot when you agree with the point I was making. Kind of silly in the end.

Why did you need to take the shot at Hawks fans if you're basically saying what everyone knows then?
