I'm looking for a professional chef to come into our home and cook for an event. Not looking for a catering company to wheel in food that's cooked off site, but looking for someone to come up with a menu, cook in our kitchen, and serve to the guests and answer any questions they have.

Has anyone hosted a party like this or been to one? If so do you have any good recommendations? This is in BR

Your best bet is probably to go to your favorite restaurant, find out who the best cooks in the kitchen are (most likely the sous chefs), and ask them if they want to make an easy, and off the books $200 cooking for you and some friends one night.

Can only speak from personal experience, and dont know BR restaurant scene well enough, but given enough time, whoever you want can probably arrange for a night off.

Executive Chef Jeremy Coco has worked in many facets of the restaurant industry since 1998. Currently, Chef Coco is the Director of Culinary Operations & Training for Last In Concepts.

Last In Concepts is the parent company for Walk-On's. I don't know what you've experienced but Walk-On's has never been known for their cuisine as far as I know. Mostly just good looking/slightly slutty wait staff.

Not saying Chef Coco is bad, but don't be surprised if your food turns out underwhelming.

I vaguely remember the chef at Ruffino's and maybe another restaurant partnering together and doing private parties at people's homes.

Obviously, it's not inexpensive.

Went to Walk on's corporate location the other day. Shrimp wrap was underwhelming as was the spinach and artichoke dip.

From what I understand running a restaurant and being daddy are not conducive to each other, where as working at the Culinary instuite has much better hours?

From my understanding he is no longer with walk on's, and was only there for a short period of time, obviously his website needs improvement. I have eaten his food several times and it is not underwealming
