Loved Vernel Singleton and his snoopy bandaid. Somewhere in the attic is a poster with all the guys from 92 standing together. Poster reads "Dunk Mob Epsilon". Clever marketing like Phi Slamma Jamma.

I enjoyed the show. But to be honest I was expecting it to be even better than it was.

I know from some of the radio coverage about the show the last day or so that the ESPN/SEC people found Dale and Shaq to be so good that they decided against going with many bits from anyone else (for example on one of the shows Lee Feinswag said they interviewed him for about an hour but didn't use any of the stuff - I'm sure there were a lot of others also intereviewed). And sure Shaq and Dale are great together but I think the show could have benefited from at least a bit of outside stuff.

And Tim McGraw did a decent job of narrating but I thought it could have been done even better.

Just my 2 cents - was good but could have been better.

I was hoping for John Goodman. He was really good in the last one.

Dale has got to be the only coach to ever tell his players to leave early haha

Festus, everything you say about Brown off the court is true, but back then I wanted a basketball coach, not Mother Thersa. He's an incredible human being, no doubt about that. I remember a former player from back then telling me that Dale would bail Cookie Man out of jail time & time again when he returned to NY & that he was the father most of the players back then never had. So in that regards, he's legit. I just hated losing like we did so many times.

Keltic, I agree 100%. I had grown tired of the letdowns and was looking for a change. Of course now, looking at where LSU basketball currently is, I long for the excitement he brought. I was definitely spoiled.

He really was like a father to many of the guys. I only know of one guy that to this day dislikes him, and he shares part of my screen name.

Can't believe I missed it - Dale Brown is my all-time favorite coach. Caught him talking about it on the Tim Brando show earlier today. Does anyone know when this is re-airing? I scanned all the EPSN channels for the next few days and can't find it. Or can one of you tech-savvy youngsters tell me how to watch it on the interwebs?

With this doc, the Laettner one, the Fab Five 30 for 30, the HBO one about UNLV, it's pretty clear that NCAA basketball peaked in the very late 80s to early 90s.

And in the context of all those great teams, it's a little easier to understand why LSU didn't win a National Championship. With that said, it's also still easy to feel like they underacheived.

Hannah Storm said so on Mascona's show last week.

I enjoyed it enough, but honestly Dale's manner and personality wear on me. Always has and being exposed to him that much in one hour brought it all back in spades.

By the end I'd had enough Dale honestly, sorry...that's just me. I respect those who differ on that.

I actually think the show would have benefitted from some outside perspectives and opinions. I'd also like to do some fact checking on some of the stuff they said...just sayin'.
