I bought a chainsaw from Lowe's for my brother to give him at their couples shower. I noticed it was still in the shipping packaging, so I asked them if they could just keep it that way--since the normal packaging has the bar sticking out of the box which would be a dead giveaway for any type of surprise. When he opened it up at the party, I wasn't really paying attention, and everyone is like "dude, why did you get him two chainsaws?"

So now I have a brand new $299 chainsaw. Should I just keep it? In most situations I would just be like whatever, they made a mistake. But I really feel like this one was my fault, since I asked them to leave it in that box and all. Man I really don't feel like hearing crap from my friends and family about returning it and not letting them have it or whatever.

That chainsaw is tainted from your immoral actions...

Therefore, give it to me and I'll take care of it!

Keep it and have a chainsaw fight with your brother. Don't want to bring your fists to a chainsaw fight

Um.....you technically bought it. Would you return a loaf of bread if it came with one extra slice?

You're gonna have a hard time returning it, and it'll probably take an hour minimum. Or you could bring it back and get the money

Well hell, I'll say it. Keep the damn thing. There were oodles here trying to buy kayaks for $3.00 last year and it led to a 20 page rub and tug.

Homeowner box store chain saws are usually a piece of shite. The second one is for when the first one doesn't start

Lowe's , I would return.

If home depot I would keep it. I don't mind screwing Arthur Blank because he owned the falcons

Your conscience will tell you what to do. Home Depot scanned a box for some floor tile along with other items. Bill was about $350 when it should have been over $900.00. I drove about a mile down the road thinking something didn't add up and went back and showed them what they did wrong. This wasn't even for me but for my office. Unless you are given at least a $1 million to much, best just to do the right thing.
