I don't know much about his recruitment up to this point except that he committed to us in January. Bama offered him last week just prior to Kaden Smith committing to Stanford. It seems that the Bama coaches caught word that Smith was going elsewhere and turned their attention to Pettigrew.

Regarding Carter, it looks like he is going to flip for sure. However, Shea P started the OM rumor with a tweet. LOL. It seems that an OM insider went of that and switched his pick to OM now. Anyone know any more abut that situation, or is it just silliness?

I talked to Shyheim about it. Don't believe everything you read.

Jamal is a pretty solid commit.

Why any other team thought they had a shot at Kaden is beyond me, especially a team that ignored their stud athlete of a tight end in O.J. Howard. He has been set on Stanford for a long time now

Not only does Pettigrew love LSU, he also seems pretty tight with Franks and some of the other 2016 commits. I doubt he looks elsewhere IMO.

I can see how some can be confident, but I think its just lip service for the most part.

I thought it was funny. Child births are stressful as hell. Good luck.

quote:

"I caught up with Coach Ensminger and Coach Frank when I was up there for the game this past weekend," Pettigrew said. "They can't wait to get me in. They have talked to me before about how I can do it all for them, but now they are just focused on getting me better, so they talk more about what I do wrong than what I do right."

While Miles-coached teams have been known to ride multiple tight ends throughout the game, the main responsibility is always excelling as a blocker, and tight ends haven't posted big numbers in LSU's passing attack in recent years. But for Pettigrew, the opportunity is there - which he said was evidenced by the tight ends turning in big showings in the spring game.

"I have seen many film of tight ends wide open in the game, it’s just a failure on execution with getting them the ball," Pettigrew said. "But it was great seeing that the quarterbacks got the ball to the tight ends in the spring game. I'm really excited about that.

"The visit was another good one, and I really enjoyed myself. I am definitely happy with the decision to commit to LSU."

Yep. That pretty much says it all.
