People don't realize that Kangaroo was very close to signing Michael Jordan back in the day. Kangaroo had a niche in market, and needed to make a splash to grow in market, they went all in on Jordan, and it took a last minute deal from Nike to get him.
That would of changed the shoe market, Kangaroo would of continued, one of the other 2nd tier brands would of gone belly up or sold.
