Scenario: We have no military,Russia,China,India,UK,France,S.Korea,Germany,Japan, and Turkey all send troops for a ground invasion of America and we have 1 week to prepare. We have our military people, but they are gonna have to use the weapons at home or given to them. We have no Air Force, tanks, battle ships, etc. Canada and Mexico are not in this fight and they have no military either, invaders would meet light local resistance in those countries but would be all in for only attacking America. Invaders have no nucleaur weapons, just conventional, but they do have whatever Air Force they have and can do aerial assaults.

What would our strategy be? I would imagine if some folks in the Middle East could make IEDs, people here could make them alot better. Would it be guerrilla warfare on the invaders, cities forming militias? Would rednecks and thugs fight side by side or would there be alot of internal problems with our diverse population trying to work together?

How long do y'all think it would take to totally capture the entire country and we surrender or do y'all think in the end their morale and funding would be so low they would retreat over many years? How brutal would Americans be with our backs against the wall after we captured enemy soldiers? Like I said we don't have an actual military but we still have our military personnel, for instance, if your next door neighbor is a marine, he wouldn't have access to Federal issued guns, supplies, he would only have access to what he owns or is given, but obviously we could use his brain to figure out ways to attack or defend the invaders.

Would we first be trying to kill invading pilots and destroy their aircraft as best we could to limit their air power, IEDs destroying entire roads that invaders are using, etc? Basically, how long do you all think American citizens would last fighting those countries invading us with their air power and we have no military to help? Also, all the citizens here, even if from those other countries, would be defending America.

ETA: To clarify, objective would be to occupy us, and take into account financial abilities to invade.

a ground invasion of America?

assuming they can get across the fricking pacific ocean, a ground invasion of the US is all but impossible

the same applies to Russia and China

A ground invasion of the United States is pretty close to impossible...

So, the invaders would be in a poor position from the get go.

Several of those countries have a navy, and again, we have no military defending us.

Why do you suppose so many Americans have guns and will never give them up?

The difference between the US and Russia/China is that they would have no rules of war if we didn't have a military.

They would bomb our cities and infrastrcuture into oblivion. Do we have any SAMs? Or are they just reigning hellfire onto us?

It would be a blood bath but some parts of the country would survive in rural areas for the mainland invasion. But again, with no Air Force or Navy, we would be fricked.

Germany, UK, India, France, South Korea, Japan and Turkey are all allies to some extent. I don't see them invading.

Sorry, but if our allies planned to attack us in that fashion, we would have years of warning to prepare. There is no logistical scenario in which we would not be prepared.

That would be completely untrue in this scenario. The reason why it would be impossible is because of our Navy, Air Force and Air Defense systems. All military.

And if they have Canada and Mexico to launch attacks from, then we are fricked fighting a two front war and they have supply routes set up.

It would be a blood bath.

a. we will still know they're coming. this isn't star trek where they can teleport over

b. we have a HUGE country with 300M people and 300M guns for personal use

look, the US is the most powerful military in the history of the earth, with spy/satellite tech taht is almost magical

we couldn't occupy Iraq or Afghanistan effectively. we were dealing with poor people without a real military, also

you think people could conquer a nation 3000 miles across with various terrain and hundreds of millions of people and guns?

If other countries have armies/navies/af's, we're fricked. But again, this is retarded.

It would be an unfortunate (but nearly impossible) situation like this that might just turn us all back into what our great grandparents and grandparents valued so much. We might all learn to be human again.

A ground invasion of the U.S., though?

Yea, it would take a whole lot of air support to do damage across the entire country. I mean, look at all the airstrikes in Syria and Iraq, and ISIS is still going strong. Imagine having to use that air power on the entire U.S.
