Not that Christopher Lee horror junk.
He was a fascinating and influential character... his history... particularly his relationship to Nicholas II and his wife, and then his downfall... would make great cinema.

They made a decent one with Alan Rickman back in 1996. It was an HBO movie though.

He became incredibly powerful by stumbling into the realization that aspirin thins blood.
The world is crazy.

Honestly, I'd like to see DDL take a stab at him.

He was a crazy fricker, that's for sure.

I agree. He had possibly the greatest death ever and was an interesting character all around.

Bartok stole the show in Anastasia

Well, the movie title "Frozen" is already spoken for. Damn shame.

I thought the same after the hardcore history episode with him in it

I nominate Gary Oldman for the role.

No one here has seen Nicholas and Alexandra? Rasputin has a large role and is played by Tom "Doctor Who" Baker, who has an extended death scene
There was a movie in the '30s starring all three Barrymores

Rasputin was 6'4". Oldman is 5'9". No doubt Oldman is talent worthy for the part but is too severely vertically challenged to play the role.

As our finest actor, Daniel Day Lewis would be perfect.
