Tire manufacturer warranty

How does this work?
In my situation, tires have approximately 25K miles on them - same amount of miles that vehicle has (it was purchased new - vehicle is now 2 years old). Dealership is recommending tires be replaced. All rotations and balances have been conducted at dealership at normal scheduled intervals.
Does a tire manufacturer representative have to visually inspect tire(s)? Or do you simply bring back tire(s) in question to place where tire(s) were originally purchased, in my case, at dealership?
Or will tire manufacturer and/or dealer just state that it is normal wear and tear, even though warranty may state otherwise in terms of years or mileage expectancy?

In my experience you aren't going to get "years" as a warranty on tires. There is a tread wear warranty. Anything you get is going to be prorated. Are the tires at the wear bars?

To clarify what I said about years. Six years is the normal lifespan of a tire but mileage trumps years in regards to the warranty.

I can't say right at this time as the vehicle is currently at the dealership getting regular maintenance work performed.
From what I can recall, the tread on the tires has worn evenly as the vehicle has no alignment or balancing issues.

Since mileage on tires are relatively low (at least I believe 25K is low), is my "fight" with the dealership (vehicle was purchased new) or tire manufacturer?

Are you sure your tires have a tread life warranty?
Not all tires do. I see it more often on the cheaper tires as an incentive for customers to try them

Generally, the better quality tire, the softer the tire compound. The good tires wear faster.
In my experience, tire warranties usually give you a percentage off the identical tire. The dealer won't have that in stock. If he does, you will not get any other discount. Screwed either way.

Call tire manufacturer and make a claim YOURSELF with them.
You will then need to take it to an authorized dealer for them for an inspection of the tires. HOpefully place you've been going can do it.
They then report back to them about the tire and the manufacturer should offer you a prorated amount off of new tires, problem is you have to stick with that manufacturers tires. I often would want to go with something different.
I've done before with Michelin.

I just "assumed" they did? Tire brand is Toyo FWIW.

If it's a Proxes A20 it doesn't have a warranty.

I sold tires for 12 years. Be lucky you got 25K out of them.

I guess I will consider ourselves fortunate then.
Is there a particular brand of tire, along with model and warranty that you recommend?

Regardless, don't buy tires from the dealer. If you need tires get them from Discount Tire on the net. They are much better priced. I bought some and after about 15k miles got a nail too near the sidewall and because I had the road hazzard coverage, they sent me a new tire without any hassle.

I would say the higher the speed rating, the quicker they wear, IMO.
