Just happened to watch youtube highlights of game. Anyone know if an LSU fan caught Warren Morris HR ball? Is it in a LSU sports museum?

Isn't there a shot of a guy jumping up and down going nuts with the ball in his hands? I'd assume that's a tiger fan.

nvm

That guy is just holding his cup.

I just watch the replay over and over, and the poor youtube quality makes it hard to tell who has the ball, and it's a quick shot. So who knows.

Don't' know, BUT I've held the bat. It had never been used before that at-bat and has only one mark on it. I haven't lived in BR for a long time so I don't even know if Skip Bertman's Grand Slam batting cages is still a thing, but they had it for awhile. No idea about the ball.

Was it Tim Lanier who was up before Morris and struck out on that nasty breaking pitch?

I think I remember an interview with Morris where he said whoever caught the ball gave it to him.

I know it was to that side of the infield, and it was a screamer.

I really was worried he'd be thrown out at second or slid past the bag.

Fan that caught the ball gave it back to Morris after the celebration and awards ceremony. The fan's only request was to be the person to hand it back to him.

I was 12 and not a baseball fan at all, but I happened to flip to the channel showing the game one or two pitches before Morris hit the home run. I enjoyed watching the celebration.
