Considering that the past 4 times I've been kayak fishing the wind has been brutal, I might make a bad decision.

Honestly, I don't give a shite about the rain. I just want to fish and not have to worry about the damn wind. It's the thunderstorms that are making me a little nervous. I'm thinking about hitting some spots close to the launch and bringing the trolling motor for when I need to hightail it back.

Honestly I don't think the rain is going to be as bad as predicted earlier in the week. Looking like the brunt of it is going to be tomorrow and tomorrow night.

Turkey hunt until 10 or so, then off to the lake. IF the weather allows, should be good fish/game activity. Will definitely stay close to the truck.
Drink, fry fish, and watch the Tigers destroy Auburn in the p.m. Wifey and kids out of town, so it'll be rinse and repeat for Sunday.

Went out in the yak last saturday. Wind was the worst I've had to paddle in. I will not be doing that again. Maybe if I had a peddle yak or a trolling motor I would.

Keep in mind how wrong the weather man has been this year. I don't see anything on the weather maps that indicate a total washout, but I'm not a meteorologist.

I want to fish badly this weekend. Will make a decision today.

I was out there too. I wouldn't have gone without the trolling motor. Calm until the front rolled through. Then I didn't feel comfortable being out there.

Someone told me you have to register your kayak and get a boater's license to have a trolling motor. Is that true?

Prolly just refurbish some furniture and watch the Masters. Maybe take the yak out for a short trip if weather allows, but not that motivated.

Turkey hunting tomorrow and Saturday for sure. Likely Sunday too.

Taking the girls to a buddy's camp, where they can shoot beer cans with BB guns (with their mother's supervision) and catch lizards while I'm hunting. If the weather isn't too bad I'm taking them to run trotlines and yoyos at night. If it's bad weather, they'll be watching movies and playing bourre while I'm fishing in the rain alone at night.

I'm doing Paddle Palooza next weekend in Leeville, being that I've never fished that area I have to take a ride down there this weekend to attempt to get some sort of game plan and attempt to find a flounder hole. Hoping the weather holds out so that I'm not going in totally blind.
